OK guys, this post is long overdue. I took a long break from blogging, partially because I thought the 2009 theater season was a flop. I guess I was wrong. My mind changed when I watched the Tony Awards last month...which was really good (aside from those microphone malfunctions). Anyway, it was said that this year was the highest grossing season in Broadway history. Wow, that was unexpected, especially since America is in a recession. Maybe people flocked to the theaters to see all the revivals, aka West Side Story, Hair, and Guy and Dolls. If not that, it was Billy Elliot and Wicked who payed the bills this year.
